#mentalhealthawarenessweek is celebrating movement: moving more for our mental health. Creative physical activity can connect our bodies and minds. Fantastic creative health examples include: Dance to Health by Aesop Arts and Society a programme supporting health challenges in older adults and a programme which evidenced improved mental wellbeing by 96%. http://dancetohealth.org The South Tees Art Initiative (STAR) programme by the North East and North Cumbria Child Health and Wellbeing Network. After participating in the programme children noted that it contributed to their emotional and physical wellbeing: ‘Feeling more confident’ ‘More fit and well’ and ‘Full of energy’.
