Love this picture, because it reminds me of the time Manuel Guerra and Ryan West of Chemeketa Community College breached their Fiduciary Duty by telling me to file suit or complaints with the very parties they’ve close to, such as this one, and the Office for Civil Rights, Department of Education, while providing no avenue to dispute resolution and implying I couldn’t represent myself otherwise, in their investigation which deviated from internal policy. Specifically, Ryan West, Manuel Guerra, and Keith Russell failed to provide a 3rd party independent investigation into my Discrimination and Harassment. If they write their own rules, while justifying the perfect defense against bad behavior, shouldn’t you be aware this was against #504 #IEP #IdeaLaws #ADA #Laws? Clearly the college doesn’t care about human life when the tactics used to silence my claims are the same tactics used to retain a sexual predator only 4 months later. Seemingly, the easier solution is to hire people with fake credentials, duping the college in the very thing they’ve made me certified. This while weaponizing their connection with police training to threaten police violence for my advocacy. I’m further amused some administrators are blocking me. For those who have elected themselves to be responsible educators, it seems either seeing or dealing with the truth of what you’ve done to your students is simply too much of a burden to bear on behalf of the very specific people who did this to me, to my face, without remorse and full awareness of the evil they were doing. Face accountability, stop running and hiding, it’s the worst possible response from an academic institution such as Chemeketa Community College and the CHEMEKETA CLASSIFIED ASSOCIATION who are associated by default. Corporate College recently had the incredible opportunity to host executive leaders from 100 Black Men of America, Inc. for their executive leadership retreat. I had the privilege of leading a session titled "Education's Post-Pandemic Evolution: What We Provide Matters," and later joined Herman Bulls, vice chairman and international director at JLL, to discuss "Organizational Leadership, Governance, and Impact." Educational leaders, how do you see the role of education evolving in the post-pandemic world? 

If every Community College grad would just proudly post their CC alma-mater (along with their subsequent transfer institution, of course) it would be Transformative. One reason more people don't know of and celebrate the transformative power of Community Colleges in America -- hence the silly and often racialized stigma -- is that so many transfer students immediately delete their community college history on LinkedIn as soon as they "get in." As if attending a CC wasn't instrumental, pivotal, and transformative in achieving their dream school transfer. Which, paradoxically, only further reinforces the silly stigma they're apparently afraid of. Got stereotype threat? Gentle reminders: recently retired UCLA Chancellor Block was once a transfer student from Foothill College. And now it's on his LinkedIn. Apple founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak both dropped out of elite colleges/universities after just one year because it wasn't worth the money. That's why they attended De Anza College. Which had fantastic computer access and CS classes. And yep, that's why Apple is still headquartered in Cupertino. Ditto Hollywood: Tom Hanks? Arnold Swarzenegger? Both are proud champions of their CC alma maters. And the list goes on and on. And on. So why not join them?

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to be a part of Bay Path University and Cambridge College. Today is a transformational day for all of us here. I am incredibly proud of our fidelity to our missions, our commitment to the communities we serve, our teammates, and our impact on higher education. #StrongerTogether I am also grateful for you, Sandra J. Doran, Michael Giampietro, Kathleen Bourque, Natalia Blank, PhD, Stephen Healey, Niti Seth, Dennis J. Madigan, CMA, our Board of Trustees, and the rest of the teams that trusted me to lead Phase 1 of the acquisition. We did it! Special kudos to the Phase 1 project team; I am a better professional for working with you: Jeremy Anderson, Jessica Sabbagh (rock star), Brittany Riley, MBA, and Susan Poglinco, PhD (and the Core team). I am even more grateful for the continued confidence in me and our super-talented project team as we lead the next phase of this process: Tracy McLaughlin, Shirley Montovani, Madison McGrath, Jonathan Besse, and Susan Poglinco, PhD. Thank you for being tremendous partners, thought leaders, and accountability partners. I am super excited about the work ahead. It has been such an honor to work with the CCBA team over the last year to align two innovative models- community college bachelors and competency-based education. When stars align, the best outcomes for students are reached! New research results out this week from Debra Bragg and Iris Palmer highlight the success of South Texas College and our C-BEN board member, Emma Lemus-Miller, PhD and C-BEN Consultant Angie Walker presented with Cheryl Cicotti, CCBA on how to bring the two models together. “In 2021, there were 2,477 CCB students enrolled across seven community colleges in Texas. About 75 percent of these students were enrolled at South Texas College..." Key Findings 🔎 Students in CCB programs are, on average, older than those in associate degree-granting programs at community colleges or students at traditional colleges and universities. However, students in CCB programs in Texas are slightly younger than those in other states. 🔎 CCB students who enrolled and graduated in Texas are predominantly female, Latine, and recipients of Pell Grants. A phenomenal 80 percent of graduates received a Pell Grant. 🔎 2018 graduates of Texas CCB programs are earning a median wage of $44,102 three years after graduation, which is comparable to Texans with bachelor’s degrees writ large. https://lnkd.in/e8Ua2bXk
