What I learned today: if you are open to joining or donating to Amnesty International, you should do it with one of their canvassers that you see in public places. They don’t earn commission but are salaried. If you join or donate online, 18.7% of your donation is allocated to pay for digital ads because they assume an ad brought you to them online. I wonder how widespread is the practice of automatically allocating a portion of donations to buy ads?
