Design database structure for planned projects like file Management and Smart Tag. 6.Optimize Queries - Ensure that queries are properly optimized. 7.Tables and create indexing. Ensure that tables are indexed on columns frequently used in WHERE clauses, JOIN conditions, and ORDER BY clauses. 8. Adjust database configuration parameters (such as memory allocation, cache sizes, and connection limits) to match the hardware resources and workload of our system. 9.Add partitioning and sharding to distribute load if required. 10.Large tables, consider partitioning them based on certain criteria (such as range or hash partitioning). 11. Evaluate database schema and consider normalizing or de-normalizing it based on the Current KC requirements. Reporting Strategy 1.Purpose reporting tool for automated report and dashboard. 2. Establish a reporting cadence that provides timely insights without overwhelming stakeholders. 3.Balance frequency with the availability of relevant data and the need for real-time decision-making. 4.Explore various reporting tools available in the market. Consider factors such as functionality, ease of use, scalability, cost, integrations with existing systems, and support for data visualization. Thanks! AN OPEN LETTER TO RECRUITERS AND HIRING MANAGERS LOOKING TO FILL DATABASE ADMINISTRATION POSITIONS In my job search as a SQL Server developer, I'm noticing that in a lot of job listings, in addition to requirements for experience with specific database platforms, there are also requirements for experience with the application that is using the databases. As someone who has designed, coded, debugged, deployed and optimized databases going back decades, I can tell you that a lack of experience with a specific application really shouldn't disqualify an otherwise qualified and competent DBA candidate from consideration. Any competent DBA should be able to learn your database schemas, diagram them, and have at least a basic understanding of them within a relatively short period of time. To a DBA, a database is a database. If you're dismissing candidates out-of-hand because they've never heard of your application, chances are that most (if not all) of your other candidates have never heard of it either. You could end up overlooking a potential rockstar of a DBA simply because one application is not on their resume. You'd be doing yourself and your company/client a disservice by not at least interviewing them. Thank you for your time and attention.
