Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure’s Post

On Saturday September 7th, as part of GSI’s recent trip to the Canadian Prairies, our team was honored to be a guest of Ocean Man First Nation at their 2024 Pow wow. This special event marked the 150th anniversary of the nation’s sovereignty and self-determination for their inherent rights and preserved cultural identity through Treaty 4. This was a truly inspiring event for GSI to participate in, providing our team with a glimpse into the cultural identity, rich traditions and proud heritage of Ocean Man First Nation. Chief Connie Big Eagle and her community were gracious hosts throughout the event and our team was moved to be included in the Grand Entry Ceremony on Saturday. GSI is proud to partner with Ocean Man First Nation on our Iyuhána Solar project, and we look forward to continuing this meaningful collaboration to build a sustainable future for generations to come.
