This look back at the Global DPI Summit, held in Cairo Oct 1-3, demonstrates the energy and collaboration that was generated by this first-ever event, which advanced digital public infrastructure (DPI) and digital public goods (DPG) by focusing on many of the technological innovations, policy frameworks and implementation models that are reshaping public infrastructure worldwide.
International Telecommunication Union, the the UN agency for digital technologies, served as co-host and led several sessions, including one on DPI in Education, in which Giga launched the DPI Education Accelerator to promote the full potential of DPI to ensure equitable, high-quality learning opportunities for all.
Speaking at the event, Alex Wong, Giga Co-Lead, emphasised the role of collaboration to extend the impact of DPI. “As co-hosts, we want to work together on a global level and collaborate, and all of you over the last three days have really reinforced that."
