How long does it take to chop an onion? 🧅 As it turns out, there can be a big difference depending on who does it. [But do read on to discover the answer!] 🤔 All our mealkit recipes are crafted by our local chefs and dietitians, ensuring not only delicious and nutritionally balanced meals but also providing estimated preparation times. ⏱️ Since the Cheffelo chefs are kitchen ninjas🥷(and not all of our customers are) we periodically review and validate our time estimates for each stage of the meal preparation. This ensures that our customers not only enjoy epic dining experiences but also find joy in the preparation process. Hence an invite to everybody in our Sundbyberg office and some friends and family for an hour of timed kitchen exercises, with the aim to enhance the accuracy of our time estimates. The kitchen disciplines involved peeling potatoes, chopping tomatoes, cutting cabbage, battering fish, as well as other tasks. 🔪 And if you’ve read this far, then you probably want to find out the actual time it took to peel and chop an onion? During this trial, times ranged from 1.07 minute to 3.07 minutes. Five Reasons I love suggesting dishes like Strapatsada for a Greek restaurant client’s breakfast menu: (1) The fresh or canned tomato sauce base can be made in batches, portioned out, and frozen, (2) the food costs are relatively low, (3) the cooking process is simple, (4) the ingredients are simple, and (5) the dish tastes delicious! In addition to writing recipes and newsletters, I help clients create new menus. The strapatsada in the photo is a Greek-inspired breakfast dish that generally includes cooked tomatoes and eggs.
