Helping businesses create high performing teams and cultures that don't suck | Fractional Chief People Officer | Speaker
Just getting all things started for Lando’s first day next week. I always advise clients to have these kinds of things ready 3-5 days before the new starter arrives in order to fix any last minute things that get flagged by the plan. This includes making sure that the person meeting them responsible for doing the tour and induction actually has it planned into their diary. (You would be surprised as to how many do not!) What’s your week one plan like for new starters? Does it need a refresh (or reboot). #PeopleStrategy #Induction #NewPuppyNextWeek

I'm fascinated by the sheer logistics required to be Beyonce! There is so much to be learned from her career and confidence. Beyoncé's career trajectory offers valuable lessons in adaptability and continuous improvement that should resonate deeply with software development professionals. By embracing change, striving for excellence, committing to lifelong learning, staying ahead of trends, and reinventing themselves when necessary, product owners, engineers and project managers can navigate the ever-evolving landscape of software development with confidence and success. As Beyoncé herself once said, "The most alluring thing a woman can have is confidence." And in the world of software development, confidence born out of adaptability and continuous improvement is truly a game-changer. https://lnkd.in/eYrWM5B3

Clock in to listen to our stories: How much TIME is required from UPLINE to build you becoming a PRODUCER? I don't know about you, but for me, the agency already have a systematic training and guidance to build the producer, and asking for one-to-one session is a precious support and it is when I really really needed, and he will be there for me, as well as the rest from the agency. Simply because there is already a system to follow, and we respect each other time & goal, and the one-to-one meeting is as short as a F1 car entering their pitstop, for me to get the courage & affirmation, so that I can continue my race to the reach the next milestone 😁 To all producer out there, time is of essense, stay focused is all what you needed, don't do it for the recruiter. #RewardingCareer #DevelopFinanceProfession #buildmillionsyouth

The levels of filming in an airport... ✈️ It's only when these big projects come around that you really start to notice the importance of everyone's role within the business. 🧑🍳 The hours of pre-production; from storyboarding, permission-gaining, risk assessments and many more, then to the actual filming on the day. Where is the best place to park the van with easy access to grab the kit? Is the model moving in the right way, and is the suitcase in the right orientation? Has Max considered the bus approaching from behind that's going to cross the frame? For ages, I tried to micro-manage all of these aspects and wondered why some shoots fell apart. It was around the time Max Bareham joined that we started to really dial in everyone's role on a shoot and what's expected of them. Without that, we couldn't work at our very best—it's probably been one of the biggest changes we've made. From an outsider's perspective, you might think it's silly that we didn't have that on lock from day one. But it's literally been years of trial and error, learning through doing. I think we are finally in a space which is most efficient, but always open to other ways and ideas to streamline this. #ottrculture
