Thank you Disruption Magazine Canada & Joanne Fedeyko for featuring our CEO & fearless leader, Stephen Jones. As Canada’s sole ULCC, we defy convention to bring affordable airfare to all. Now, the Competition Bureau Canada is asking Canadians what they want from their airlines? Flair was started due to the lack of competition and choice in Canadian aviation and the resulting sky-high fares that prevented access to travel. We are committed to continuing to raise the bar to provide fair fares to all. “For far too long, Canadians have borne the burden of sky-high airfare prices, significantly restricting travel,” Jones says. “In 2018, it was our chance to challenge the status quo, to shake the foundations of an industry that had long favoured the elite over the ordinary traveller.” - Stephen Jones Six years later, we’re still challenging the status quo and proud of the impact that the Flair Effect has had on the market - decreasing airfare prices by an average of 34% for all travellers and saving Canadians over $700 million dollars. The data is clear: Flair is good for all whether or not you choose to fly with us. We hope you do. #flyfair #flygreener #flyaffordable #flyflair #ULCC #CompetitionBureau #CanadianAviation #FlairEffect 🇨🇦 ✈ 💡

I first flew Flair Airlines two years ago when my flight was canceled from SFO to YEG days before Christmas on another airline. I had heard about Flair from my 🇨🇦 friends and family, but since I call San Francisco home, it wasn’t on my radar. I enjoyed the SFO <> YEG direct flight many times after that trip and became a fan of Flair Airlines. I know that many airlines (and other industries) have moved to charging for the extras. While taken back at first, I am okay with lower costs in exchange for being more thoughtful on what I pack and how I travel. I used to be Super Elite pre pandemic and I loved it, don’t get me wrong. Thank you Humera Malik for that inspiration. But my air travel a few rows back without the couple of perks is really not that different. Selfishly I love the SFO <> YEG direct flight. 😊🛬🇨🇦 so please Flair Airlines bring it back. But I am for competition in the marketplace. I think businesses benefit when they listen to what the customer wants. There isn’t always one solution. In air travel or in life. We need to be open to many options and figuring out what fits best. I wish Flair Airlines the best as they navigate the challenges and opportunities in the new world of air travel.

Canada needs some airline competition. I just flew from YVR to YYC (one way) today and not even a drink of water was served and you have to double the fare to have a carry on and one personal item. It cost double my flight from Athens to Istanbul (which included a full meal with real silverware, and a carry on) a month ago.

Recent flight: Contractors at check in rude, and demanding. All over personal carry on that fits. Please coach them to be gentle.
