Cocoa is one of our main ingredients in the products you know and love. Making traceability a priority means that we can better understand where our cocoa comes from and under which conditions it's produced, so we can effectively manage and nurture our supply chain. Not only have we reached 93% traceability to farm level, but we've also created programmes that help support our farmers by improving their cocoa farming practices, diversifying their income as well as strengthening their communities. Our Responsible Sourcing Manager, Olivier Zwolsman takes you through the highlights from our sustainability report. To learn more, head to our website: https://lnkd.in/eJ34h7Bt

93%, that is amazing 👏👏. Circular supply chains, the associated carbon footprint and the ways to trace and improvise are bold steps that will lead to more Sustainable practices going forward. Sheri R. Hinish at the forefront of driving these across global companies

Scam to control the farmers and price of Cocoa, just like all the scam news over the last 18 months about shortages of cocoa to force the price up. the sale of chocolate globally has fallen not risen. It is an old scam, corporations set up or fund a do good company to convince farmers they need help and better prices, are put on contact with a corporation that does exactly that, but it is simply catching farmers on fixed supply contracts to gain monopolies and market share control. cocoa market price today per kilo $7 usd farmers in the Philippines get less than $1 it is a corporate scam; you can bet dollars to donuts this group or members in it have records of phone calls to corporate buyers likely just one. In this case Ferrero represents themselves as the Do-gooder to the farmers and public. Some coffee companies do the same, it is smarter scamming as it appears as transparency an ethical practices. Genius really.
