Swedish private equity firm Altor Equity Partners rescued Renewcell from bankruptcy and giving a second chance in a new chapter, now renamed Circulose!🌟 2. Swiss fashion company QWSTION, producer of the sustainable banana fiber fabric Bananatex®, announced a partnership with BALENCIAGA to launch sneakers made from the next-gen fabric. The shoes are an eco-friendly version of Balenciaga’s much-loved Triple S sneakers.👟💚 3. Modern Meadow appointed David Williamson, PhD, as the new President and COO, announcing that they will go all in on biomaterials. The strategic shift emphasizes sustainable innovation with their flagship product, Bio-VERA™, a next-gen leather alternative made with over 90% sustainable materials.🌿 4. Beyond Leather Materials ApS, producer of the 89% bio-based next-gen leather alternative, Leap, named Veshin Factory, the sustainably progressive design and manufacturing facility, as their preferred manufacturing partner!🥳🤝 5. Living near a busy highway, they found inspiration right outside their window. They noticed hundreds of trucks passing by and realized that the tarpaulin used to cover the cargo was durable and waterproof. Why not give it a second life? That’s how the idea was born — to recycle old truck tarpaulins, car seat belts, and bicycle inner tubes into unique accessories. Every Freitag bag is one-of-a-kind. No two models are the same, as each is made from different parts of used materials, featuring original wear, tear, and color patterns. Over the years, the brand has grown in popularity across Europe and beyond. Freitag has become a symbol of sustainable fashion, proving that style and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
