🤔 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗴? 🤔 How often have you said, "𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙗𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙣"? Was s/he?! 👉 Now, watch and ask yourself again, "Who was stubborn?" 😂😂😂😂 👉 The dog communicates with you, but do you listen to him/her? 🫣 👉 As I mentioned, it's different with puppies because you make the decision to teach your puppy to be safe outside without being overwhelmed. But an older dog knows what he/she wants. We just need to listen to them with open hearts. 💕 👉 And, of course, each situation can be different because your dog might pull home due to hib pain, or other reasons. THREE life lesson's from a Jamaican stray CAT: Recently I found a box filled with kittens and decided to take them up and care for them. Cats can be so influencial in our daily lives that they teach us just how to remain human in our kindest endeavors. Filled with wonder and amazement I decided to share household grocery items with them to test what they will or won't eat. To my surprise the cats ate a "bulla" A sometimes dry sugary cake made with assorted ingredients, bulla is one of the cheapest snacks you can buy at a Jamaican grocery shop. A household treat that can pair with anything. I digress - cats are remarkable and the abundance of knowledge is practically precious gems. ..... Always be curious - cats remind us that life is full of mystery and we should stay present and prepared in the moments ahead. ..... Maintain your appearance - cats clean themselves an annoying times a day even to the point of sometimes an extreme makeover. It's always important to keep a fresh outlook. ..... Struggles happen - cats embrace fear with confidence and courage. One of the most self assured creatures. Cats focus a lot on their surroundings and maintain a determined outlook. Lyla turned 10 months over the weekend. Here are 10 lessons we should all learn from her: 1. The best way to get loads of attention and affection is to be irresistibly adorable. 2. Don't extend strangers the kind of trust you have towards your attachment figures. 3. Gas is meant to be passed loudly and freely, not held in uncomfortably. 4. The fastest way to get someone's attention is to screech and shriek at the top of your voice. 5. Cats are fascinating creatures whose tails are an ecstatic joy to pull on. Until they bite you. 6. You haven't lived until you've tasted unpasteurized and fresh whole breastmilk. 7. Having raspberries blown into the folds of your chubby neck is hilarious. 8. Cuddle with the people you love for as many hours as possible out of the day. 9. Big accomplishments start with small wins, like learning how to hold your neck up before you can sit up and then crawl. 10. Enjoy your food with the kind of reckless abandon that'll form a Greek yogurt beard on your face.

They don’t worry about meeting anyone’s expectations or being ‘perfect.’ But as dog guardians, we often place pressure on ourselves—and sometimes on our dogs—to meet certain standards. Here’s something important: True peace and acceptance come from within. When we’re constantly seeking approval from others or trying to make our dogs ‘fit in,’ we create unnecessary stress for both them and ourselves. Instead, take a moment to reflect: Are you giving yourself the same acceptance that your dog gives you? When we focus on our own inner peace, we build a healthier, more understanding relationship with our dogs. Remember: Dogs thrive when we allow them to be themselves—just as we thrive when we let go of the need to seek external validation. By working on our own self-acceptance, we create a more peaceful environment for both us and our dogs. 🐶💛

SHOW YOUR DOG, ALONE TIME IS OKAY This is a common struggle: we want to keep our dogs happy and avoid leaving them alone until it’s necessary. But this well-intended approach can backfire, leaving our pups anxious and fearful when we do have to part ways. Here’s the key: regular, brief separations throughout the day can help our dogs build confidence and resilience. By gradually acclimating them to alone time, we empower them to feel secure even when we’re away. Let’s prioritize our pets’ emotional well-being by giving them the opportunity to adapt and thrive, one small step at a time. This Sunday, I basically walked into the set of 101 Dalmatians. Yes, I spent my morning with 100+ dogs! These furry guides taught me so much about life - ❤️Reserve your judgments Dogs don’t care about your income, looks, IQ, abilities etc. They love you unconditionally. ❤️Let’s love each other for who we are - not based on uncontrollable factors or our privileges. ❤️Chaos is fun Find time to let go of control and embrace the chaos. Just like dogs will play tug of war one second and jump all over you the other second, do what feels good that second. ❤️Don’t plan every minute, every day. Leave your watch and your phone aside and you’ll see that sometimes spontaneity feels incredibly refreshing. ❤️Enthusiasm is contagious Wagging tails or wide smiles, the energy you bring can change the mood! Have you ever tried to smile when you’re upset? Research shows that if you smile, happy memories will fill your brain and you will feel happy again! Try it ;) Always be ready for playtime Rest is NOT a luxury. It is a necessity. We all need some downtime to calm our nerves, give our brains a break, and allow ourselves a chance to enjoy a guilt-free session of self-love. Do you enjoy spending time with dogs?
