The assembly of medical products is more in demand than ever. The depicted dial machine has all custom designed stations for assembly and testing, based on a standard design paradigm. Only two parts and a label were combined on this machine to create a specimen collection assembly; however, orientation, location of features, and print were critical. Vision systems transferred information to the 4-axis FANUC SCARA robots, which then oriented and aligned the top cover with the base. This machine can be easily upgraded to double output simply by changing nests on the dial and adding a second labeler. Robotic Buffing Process for #automotive Roof Rails This robotic buffing solution solved a Dirty, Dull, and Dangerous task. Commonly known as the 3D's of robotic material removal. Understand The Sequence of Operation: 1. Up to 18 parts are loaded on a holding fixture. 2. A rotary turntable indexes 180 degrees to present the parts to the FANUC America Corporation M900iA/600 robot. 3. Liquid compound is automatically applied to the buff heads throughout the buff cycle. 4. Buffing operation commences with flexibility to position the buff wheels relative to the parts to prevent rounding and manual touch-ups. 5. Finished parts are rotated back to the load/unload position.
