The Government of New Brunswick / Gouvernement du Nouveau-Brunswick announced today that MyHealthNB, the province’s health information app, will now allow residents to create a summary of their own medications, immunizations and recent laboratory and medical imaging tests, and share it with health professionals who don’t have access to the provincial electronic health records system. The Atlantic province is the first of several planned jurisdictions in Canada to implement this patient-generated approach to the pan-Canadian and International Patient Summary standards, aligned to the Shared pan-Canadian Interoperability Roadmap, developed in partnership with Infoway and VeroSource, a HEALWELL AI Company, and supported by the Government of Canada. My Health, My Right ⚕️WORLD HEALTH DAY Read the attached poster and reflect on each for a few seconds. Which one of these needs to improve first? Let's take one step in that direction #5 resonates quite a lot with me. New procedures, new medicines, a variety of guidelines for patients are seen across hospitals. ✅ Provide us info in a language that's easy to digest, and please share all the available treatment options for us to choose from I'm passionate about co-creating healthcare where multiple health issues are becoming the norm in significant part of population 🆕 family-friendly information 💡 patients-as-partners 🗝️ holistic approach 🌏 In Asian culture, our families are part of medical decision-making. So, in addition to educating a patient, we need medical literature to be tweaked so that it becomes easy to understand and decide on the next steps. #patientpathway #patientadvocacy #healthcare

Good read right here in regards to getting bloodwork. One thing I always go over with my clients in their policy reviews. Hospital is the last place where you want to go for any health screening services. Like with blood work for example, ask that the requisition be sent to a commercial lab like Labcorp or Quest Diagnostics that is in your network and have the tests done there. It will save you hundreds and thousands of dollars. #RadRay #healthcareeducation #healthandwellbeing
