This week it has been revealed that a boy in the UK has become the first patient in the world with severe epilepsy to trial a new device fitted in their skull to control seizures. With the neurostimulator, electrical signals are sent deep into Oran Knowlson's brain, reducing his daytime seizures by 80%.
