I thought this was a great reflection on how sales success does not immediately translate to management success. While yes, many of the prerequisites are there when promoting top sales talents, such as people skills, creative thinking, and a passionate attitude, the success differentiators between the two roles are slightly different in a few key ways. For one clear example of this, we can look at collaboration. The skill of encouraging teams to work together and find optimized ways of communicating and iterating through processes is a challenge many new managers are unprepared for. That being said, within the core sales skills, a desire to learn and grow through professional development and mentorship can help navigate some of these early-onset challenges often thrust at newly hired managers. #SalesStrategy #Leadership #SellingWithPresence
