Explore the Korfball Finals, an event showcasing the rich history and gender equality of this unique sport. Six teams competed in three critical matches: the first for 3rd and 4th place in the premier league, the second for promotion to the premier league, and the final for 1st and 2nd place. To deliver a professional broadcast, MRMC Broadcast Engineer Nic Mason utilised the AFC-180+ Robotic Head, Black Magic Ursa camera with a Fuji 24x lens, a comprehensive broadcast panel, and an MHC system. Several camera presets were set up, covering different angles and tight shots for penalties. Non-technical operators, all Korfball enthusiasts, easily recalled presets to follow the action, maintaining shot continuity. As they gained confidence, they used the joystick to capture dynamic shots of the winners. The camera feed was ingested into Vmix and live-streamed on YouTube with graphics and commentary, allowing fans worldwide to enjoy a broadcast-level production of this small but exciting sport.
