We understand the importance of creating an inclusive culture where everyone has a seat at the table, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. 🌈 This year, we were named among the “Most Loved Workplaces® for LGBTQ+,” certified by the Best Practice Institute. 🎉 We kicked off #PrideMonth with a webinar on LGBTQ+ History and Allyship with esteemed speaker and facilitator Eboné F. Bell, known for her work illuminating the realms of diversity, leadership, LGBTQ+ issues, activism and entrepreneurship. On June 9, our associates attended the #LAPride Parade to march through Hollywood alongside tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ community members and supporters. Days later, we brought the celebration into the office with a networking event at our Pasadena headquarters, where associates enjoyed delicious bites from LGBTQ+ businesses and celebrated their uniqueness through a color aura photo booth. An LGBTQ+ library with books, films and podcasts was also showcased for associates to continue their learning. Thank you to our LGBTQ+ & Allies ERG leaders, Alex Salcedo, AVP-Learning & Development Consultant, Emily Lin, VP-Multimedia & UX Design, and Vianca De Paz, AVP- Senior Recruiter, for their efforts and support in Pride Month initiatives! 🌟 #EastWestBank #pridemonth2024 #lgbtqia

Here's the quick story (and a powerful takeaway that will change your workplace): My $5 pin, a blend of LGBTQ+ pride and Latino culture, became a conversation starter in the office. 🌈✨ It sparked discussions on inclusivity and representation that we'd never had before. 🗣️💬 This tiny investment reminded me that sometimes, it's the small things that can make the biggest impact. Empowering Latino LGBTQ+ voices means creating a space where everyone feels seen and heard. 🙌 It's about intersectionality, understanding that we all have unique stories and challenges. 🤝 Want to make a change in your workplace? How good are you at embracing diversity (personally and professionally)? It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Roger Wilson to run an expert session at our Vistage UK meeting yesterday. We learnt so much from this informative session, we asked the difficult questions and were honest about how our own belief systems might be holding us back. Diversity isn't just about visible differences; it's about honoring every individual's unique identity, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. Embracing LGBTQ+ diversity enriches our workplaces, fostering creativity, empathy, and a culture of acceptance. Are you brilliant at this in your business? Are you just as good in your personal life? We all agreed (honestly) that we could do better and we committed to take action to champion inclusivity and create environments where everyone feels valued and respected for who they are. If you’re looking to join a leadership group that will develop you both professionally and personally then please do get in touch with Claire Farley #DiversityandInclusion #LGBTQ+ #Equality

McKinsey research shows that coming out is more challenging for women and junior employees at work compared with their senior colleagues. Furthermore, only 58% of the LGBTQ+ women surveyed said they are out with most colleagues, compared with 80% of LGBTQ+ men. Reasons for this include feeling vulnerable, underrepresented or isolated in the workplace. What can leaders do to make the workplace more comfortable for LGBTQ+ employees? There are a number of steps outlined by Mckinsey that leaders can take, including educating their team, setting a meaningful example, creating a safe environment and strengthening their recruitment processes, as well as their policies. Read full article here: https://lnkd.in/ezkEF4sf We would add an additional one to this list - fostering allyship. Allyship is the key to creating inclusive workplaces, where people from marginalised, discriminated and underrepresented groups feel welcomed, valued and included. If you want to make a difference this Pride Month and all year-round, your organisation needs to be prioritising their DEIB interventions with a particular focus on allyship. Allyship provides a more inclusive and less divisive means to create the structures, cultures and practices that deliver healthy DEIB outcomes. If you're a HR or DEI leader wanting to explore what allyship really means and how to embrace the messy reality of allyship, come and join our virtual Safe Space on Wednesday 26th June at 1pm (BST). This is an invitation only event. June is a time of celebration, reflection, and solidarity for the LGBTQ+ community and our allies. As we commemorate Pride Month at Fresenius Medical Care, I am filled with both joy and pride in being part of such a vibrant and resilient community. Pride Month is more than just a series of events; it’s a reminder of our ongoing journey toward acceptance and equality. It’s a time to honor the brave individuals who have fought for our rights, recognize the progress we’ve made, and acknowledge the challenges that still lie ahead. I am incredibly proud to be leading our organization’s efforts to celebrate Pride Month this year. We have three amazing events lined up that all emphasize authenticity. First, we will learn about the importance of bringing our authentic selves to work every day. Then, we will hear one leader’s journey navigating professional spaces as an LGBTQ+ professional. Finally, we will round out the month with a panel conversation featuring employees from our LGBTQ+ community. These events and other activities are designed to foster understanding, support, and connection within our organization. They are an opportunity to learn from each other, celebrate our diverse identities, and strengthen our commitment to creating an inclusive environment for everyone. As we celebrate this month, let’s remember the importance of standing together, supporting one another, and continuing the fight for equality and acceptance. What are you doing to celebrate Pride Month? #ProudToBeFME #PrideMonth #LGBTQ #Inclusion #Diversity #FreseniusMedicalCare

At Pyramid Consulting, Inc, we are committed to being Intentionally Inclusive by providing all people equal access to opportunity through intentional DE&I programs, initiatives, and partnerships. In 2022, we launched a formal program that celebrates and elevates the diversity of our workforce - Belong:IN, the staffing industry's first ERG program for consultants. Today, we proudly stand together to support LGBTQ+ youth and take a stand against bullying and discrimination. Spirit Day is a powerful reminder that diversity and inclusivity are not just important but essential in our workplaces and communities. By wearing purple and raising awareness, we send a clear message: everyone deserves respect, love, and acceptance, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Let's foster an environment where everyone can thrive, be their authentic selves, and know they are valued and cherished. Together, we can create a world where love triumphs over hate. Celebrating Love and Progress this Pride ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 As we celebrate Pride, we should remember that pride isn't just a single month—it's a lifelong commitment to honor and cherish love in all its forms. How Far Have We Come in Fostering LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Business? 🌈🚀 As we celebrate Pride Month, it's crucial to pause and reflect on the progress we've made and the hurdles that still stand in our path. This June, my focus is on the transformative contributions of LGBTQ+ leaders and the ongoing journey toward a truly inclusive workplace. But, how far have we really come? Throughout this week, we've spotlighted the undeniable impact of LGBTQ+ individuals across various sectors. From innovative startups to global corporations, their unique perspectives not only enrich but also drive forward-thinking leadership and creativity. Yet, despite these successes, challenges persist in achieving full inclusion and equality. Being an ally in the business world means more than just supporting LGBTQ+ rights; it involves proactive engagement and a commitment to continuous learning. Here's a tip: start by implementing inclusive language in your communications or by participating in diversity training programs. Try to approach every interaction with empathy and openness, fostering an environment where all voices are heard and valued. Let's commit to pushing the boundaries further.
