📢 Victory for Justice: Major Settlement Announcement 📢 We are proud to announce a significant victory for our client at Downtown LA Law Group in the case of Jane Doe v. IV Patel Living Trust. Case Summary: On February 11, 2022, our 8-year-old client was staying with her family at the El View Lodge Motel in Santa Cruz, CA. The motel, owned by Defendant IV Patel Living Trust, became the scene of a traumatic incident. The 73-year-old motel manager brought our minor client into the lobby, where he kissed her on the mouth and licked the side of her face. Despite the clear wrongdoing, the motel ownership denied responsibility for the actions of their manager and attempted to minimize the severity of the incident. Trial Details: Handling attorney Edward Morgan, Esq., led our team through a rigorous 7-day trial. Throughout the trial, the defense refused to accept responsibility, requesting a defense verdict and suggesting the jury award the minor Plaintiff no more than $250,000 if they found in her favor. Verdict: On May 20, 2024, the jury in Santa Cruz County returned a verdict in favor of our client, awarding her $1,964,400.00. This decision underscores the importance of accountability and the protection of our most vulnerable members of society. We are deeply grateful to the good people of Santa Cruz County for their support and commitment to justice. This outcome is a testament to our dedication to standing up for our clients and ensuring their voices are heard. At Downtown LA Law Group, we remain steadfast in our mission to provide exceptional legal representation and fight for the rights of those who have been wronged. Special thanks to Edward Morgan, Esq., for his exemplary work and unwavering commitment to justice. #JusticeServed #LegalVictory #ChildProtection #DowntownLALawGroup #PersonalInjuryLaw #Accountability #SantaCruzCounty #LegalAdvocacy #VerdictAnnouncement #EdwardMorganEsq Legal Disclaimer: No representation is made or intended that the quality of the legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers.
