GB and European decarbonisation efforts require expanded electrification of the heating and transport sectors and continued expansion of low carbon electricity generating technologies. Flexibility services will be crucial to enabling these two strands of decarbonisation policy to delivered together. I am looking forward to discussing this vital area for energy policy on the 16th.
Join us on February 16th, 2024, at 11:30am GMT / 12:30pm CET for the third webinar in our Market Design series: Incentivising flexibility for the electricity transmission system. 💻 Electricity systems need to be balanced second by second. Do we need (more) investment signals for providers of system flexibility? What instruments do we have, and which ones work well? In this webinar we'll shed some light on these questions by discussing the relevant considerations, presenting insights and hearing the perspectives of industry experts. Our panellists will be: • Marion Labatut , EU Affairs Director at EDF • Jochen Schwill, Founder and Manging Director of Spot My Energy GmbH and founder of the German digital utility Next Kraftwerke • TBA, National Grid ESO We look forward to having you join us.✨ 📌 Click here to register: https://okt.to/Hj5RsW #ElectricityTransmission #EUEnergy

It’s an honor to be invited to the Building an Advanced Energy Ecosystem New Mexico conference to run a workshop with our Climate Solutions Simulator, En-ROADS. It is so important for regional, state, and city decision-makers to be able to situate their efforts on the energy transition within the global context of climate change. Imagining diverse climate and energy futures is an important way to illuminate trade-offs and externalities and, ultimately, to put policy and technology dialogues into action!
Last week, Director of Technology Joshua Loughman led an interactive En-ROADS workshop at an energy industry conference in New Mexico for national leaders from across the utility, R&D, supply, and regulatory sectors. He demonstrated global energy transition scenarios in the En-ROADS Simulator that will both provide for energy needs and decarbonize the sector in the decades ahead. Reach out to learn more about a similar exercise that could enhance your next conference👉 https://lnkd.in/esYHhVdF
