Today, we're open sourcing the Universal Money Address (UMA) standard. It's just like email, but for money. Users of UMA-enabled banks, exchanges, and wallets will be able to send and receive money (fiat and crypto) seamlessly and in a fully interoperable way. This is early, but we hope you'll join us on this journey to build a better way to move money around the world. For more, check out https://uma.me and see below for Lightspark's solution to bring UMA to your users.
Today, we’re unveiling Lightspark’s enterprise-grade, end-to-end solution for Universal Money Addresses (UMA). UMA combines human-readable Lightning Addresses with enhanced messaging and integration with the Lightning Network’s real-time, global payment rails to make sending money as easy as sending an email. It is open-source and available for anyone to use. Nice, does it have geographical regulatory limitations? Seems to be similar to UPI implemented by the Government of India as part of the Digital India initiative.
Out of the box again by using existing systems. Bravo
Love it! How does the product protect against money laundering?
This is great David Marcus. What is missing for widespread adoption of Bitcoin payments is a universal framework that cuts across fiat and crypto boundaries. Hopefully this will help lay the foundational rails of a global payment system.

8moLove the simplicity of the idea. One of the missing pieces of the crypto puzzle. Looking forward to playing with this. I hope that you are doing well despite the trying times.
