zkLink, an Ethereum layer-3 project, has launched its native token, ZKL, on several centralized exchanges such as Bybit, Hashkey, BitGet, KuCoin, and Gate.io. However, major platforms like Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken have not listed the ZKL token. The token experienced a significant drop of about 45% shortly after its listing and is currently trading at around $0.42. The ZKL token serves various functions within the zkLink protocol, including subsidizing gas costs on the zkLink Nova network, funding the zkLink X’s App Rollup infrastructure service, and granting governance rights to ZKL holders. Despite its utility, the initial market response has been poor, with substantial selling pressure following the listing.

The #Consensus2024 by CoinDesk last week in Austin TX was fantastic! So much great content on blockchain, DeFi, crypto, Web3, tokenization of RWA and AI. There were over 15,000 attendees with 3 full days of content and engaging after-hours events. Many new friends and business relationships were made. For those interested to hear about new developments with bitcoin and crypto, here are a few of my takeaways: - #Bitcoin, #Ethereum, #Solana, #Avalanche, #XRP are not only here to stay but are seeing massive institutional adoption and advancements in technology that are truly incredible. All I can say is that if you're not participating in the crypto revolution, you need to be. - Listened to Muneeb Ali, the Co-Creator of Stacks about what they are doing to make Bitcoin much more than just a store of value because of extending it for DeFi, Staking and the impact of Ordinals, Runes, rollups etc... @Stacks is the leading Bitcoin L2 where you can use and build apps that leverage Bitcoin as a secure base layer. Muneeb said that "Stacks is getting faster and more secure and with the Nakamoto upgrade in 2 months, it will bring sub 5 secs finality with a road map to sub-second." That's a big deal for Bitcoin! The huge take-away for me on this one is that this helps unlock potentially trillions of $$$ into Bitcoin that will be put into smart contracts running on L2s like Stacks to earn yield. This makes Bitcoin not just the best store of value ever known but also a value creator. - I've been a huge fan of Chainlink and Chainlink Labs for a long time, ever since I first read their white paper years ago. I got to see someone I've been watching regularly online, Sergey Nazarov in person and hear him speak about working with Swift to transform global financial services by connecting the existing world of financial services to the on-chain economy. With all they are doing for cross-chain communication with CCIP, it is really unlocking a ton of institutional level activity. Sergey made the point that Chainlink isn't replacing SWIFT, just augmenting it by identifying a blockchain transaction in the SWIFT message. The video of one of those sessions can be watched here: https://lnkd.in/eGg6DNCs - It was very interesting to hear about some of the great things going on with Powerledger in the renewable energy space to track, trace and trade renewable energy. - I was very impressed with the progress made with #ICP (The Internet Computer) to run dApps or AI fully decentralized. Before this reaches the "tl;dr" state, I'll save some of my many other take-aways for another post later where I'll talk about AI and blockchain together (great stuff). 😏
