At first glance, the June jobs report looks promising (150,000 jobs added), but nearly half of those jobs are products of seasonal hiring in leisure and hospitality. 🌴 Limited growth in some sectors and decline in others may be indicative of a cooling job market. While a cooling job market may be good for inflation, it can make career changes difficult and give job seekers fewer options. We're only halfway through July, and big-name companies like Intuit, Spotify, Salesforce, and Microsoft have announced layoffs.
