🎉 What an incredible experience at Figma Config! ✨ Day 0: Starting off with picking up my badge at Moscone Center and attending Config Commons at Yerba Buena Gardens set the perfect tone. Games, and a memorable opening ceremony with Miggi from Figgi. The energy was infectious! 🚀 Day 1: The day began with CEO Dylan Field’s announcements, followed by inspiring sessions on spatial design and mixed reality by Apple’s design evangelists Mike Stern and Linda Dong, UI for video games with Aashrey Sharma, and a deep dive into AI in design featuring Dan Mejia and Jordan Singer. The day culminated in an exceptional interview with Jasper Kouthoofd the founder of teenage engineering. 💡 Day 2: Day two featured enlightening talks on design systems from Adobe’s Nate Baldwin and Zalando’s Sheryl Bagga, Leonie Proske, and a stimulating session from Ableton’s Oliver Sommermann and Pablo Sánchez on their Note app. The highlight? An exhilarating design battle over lunch with newfound friends, where we collaborated to design an app to locate coffee stations at Config – and we won! (Shoutout to Team 2!! Cristina Lutcan, Dan · Cariño, Nolan Perkins, Ugo Possenti) 🌐 Impressions: Beyond the occasional long lines, Config proved to be the ultimate hub for design professionals. It offered boundless inspiration and fostered a vibrant, global community of designers.
