Looking at the stories of outages worldwide makes me wonder how overly dependent we have become on technology and hardware. How important is the role they play in our lives? That one single problem or halt can make us handicapped and unable to work. We assume that everything is going to happen as per the normal plan and we won't need a backup plan. Also wondering how interdependency has brought us to a place where a small mistake from a person or a small team working from one end of the corner can literally bring the whole world to a standstill.
