Layoffs are real and it sucks....just remeber that in the face of adversity lies opportunity. Never depend on one skill set or company ever again, link to full youtube video in comments on how to navigate layoffs and achieve independence in clinical research. Message me if you have recently been impacted and what you are doing or how I can help!

Thank you for your help. It took me months to finally secure a contract. I would turn my CV in at the wee hours of the night. I was constantly applying and practically begging. I never stopped. I started this month on a Nash study and it’s fast and furious but I’m so happy to get back to the work force. CRA monitoring. 😃🙏🏼🎉

I’m part of the J&J layoffs but I’ve been interviewing elsewhere and I’m excited about the opportunities out there. I was definitely feeling secure in my role, and it’s taken almost a month to find peace with it.

100% agree on not putting all your eggs in one basket. I find it better, especially when I was a CRA to have 2-3 clients at 20% or so rather than one at 100%. We all know that shite happens, particularly with clinical trials, where trials are halted for safety, or whatever, reasons. So, instead of taking on one client at a time and floundering in this economy when a project is halted (hiring managers, you need to stop wanting contractors at 100%, too), find a couple smaller projects and build good relationships with those clients so you get repeat business!

I had this conversation with one of our site's CRA. Fortrea SA trimmed down to 2 employees. It's nerve wracking seeing that it's a global movement

Very inspirational, thank you for posting! I find myself having to take multiple contracts and dealing with companies trying to low ball contractors. Your comments gives focus to us not only seeking opportunities but to the fact that we should remember that we also have a lot to offer. Thanks for the reminder!
