Clemson University has again been named a top institution nationally in rankings announced by Niche and The Princeton Review. 🐅 In addition to being the top college in South Carolina, Niche also ranked Clemson as having the best academics, best athletics, best experience for student-athletes and best professors, along with naming it the top public university in the state. The Princeton Review included three top 10 rankings including Students Love Their School Teams, Town-Gown Relations and Friendliest Students. Join the SC Planned Giving Council next week featuring Peggy Cieslikowski from the College of Charleston and RJ Gimbl, CFRE from the University of South Carolina Upstate. These sessions will be able to ignite best practices as well as enhance current efforts as donors and friends consider year end charitable gift and estate planning. Off site AND on campus… There are many benefits of being on campus at Clemson University is having access to a multitude of resources. One of which is the Snow Family Outdoor Fitness and Wellness Complex. Today we held our team meeting to discuss the value of excellence (which is one the six values espoused by the Board of Trustees). Our dialogue was robust, extensive, and engaging. Thank you to Cindy Barnes for leading the session, Paul Kent for the review of various gift planning vehicles, Erin Q. Byrd for covering Clemson Elevate, and Derian Richardson for sharing insights on the student experience. For those looking to learn more about the campus and all of our hidden gems, let me know if you are even in Clemson, it would be great to show off this special place.

STEM in SC schools Through a new partnership with STEM Global Action, Clemson University will launch the STEM South Carolina initiative as part of the University’s mission to enhance educational access to all students for success in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. One of the core initiatives of Clemson’s strategic plan, Clemson Elevate, is to transform lives by community outreach that enhances educational and economic opportunities for South Carolinians. The University has a long history of bringing young people to the Clemson campus to experience the magic of higher education and inspire them to follow their dreams. This program will reverse the process and bring the power of higher education to schools and communities throughout South Carolina. “The opportunity for Clemson University to partner with STEM Global Action in this new initiative drives directly to the heart of Clemson’s mission and its strategic plan.
