I am honored to receive the #CRN #InclusiveChannelLeadersAward! While this isn't the first time the industry has acknowledged my commitment to fostering #inclusive environments; I'm grateful for the recognition to the work most often happens in addition to pursuing my career. I'm also grateful to be in great company, as I receive this award alongside individuals whose words, actions, and leadership covet notice. Now more than ever, inclusivity initiatives face challenges across multiple sectors, especially in building sustainable engagement with their internal and external customers. The individuals most often responsible for their companies culture, the ERG Leaders, have found that their work to elevate the culture at a peculiar intersection of low importance in comparison to their companies' KPIs or OKR's. It’s important that the path to success, especially for diverse hires, is reviewed regularly and agreements are honoured. This doesn’t mean that there should be one rule for a diverse hire and one rule for someone who isn’t considered “diverse enough”. Instead, it’s about recognising that diverse hires may not have been given the same opportunities, which is why there is an imbalance in so many organisations.
