I wanted to share a big thank you to nVent for sponsoring myself, alongside other Employee Resource Group Leaders, to participate in the Center for Effective Organizations at USC Marshall Strategic ERG Leadership Summit this year! It was a wonderful event filled with thought leadership, networking, and innovative ideas on how to engage others in making your company a better, more inclusive place to work, one piece at a time. We challenged the traditional definition of diversity, to highlight the vastly different life experiences that occur for many beyond the typical categorical race, gender, and sexual orientation that come to mind. There is power in diversity. I'm thankful for an organization that celebrates that with action, which we had the opportunity to discuss and influence with 4 of our C-suite executive leaders immediately following the summit. In a workspace where innovation is key to growth, diversity HAS to be a part of the conversation. I took a number of things away from the wonderful speakers and sessions, but by way of the transitive property below, I'll share the key tie-back to me on why #DEI is worth investing in: Diverse individuals = Diversity of life experiences Diversity of life experiences = Diversity of thought Diversity of thought = Increased creativity & problem solving Increased creativity & problem solving = #Innovation Inclusion and celebration of diversity = Innovation = Growth I'm honored to be a part of the summit, and I look forward to growing together at nVent! #ERG #Diversity #Inclusion

It's wonderful to see nVent's commitment to DEI being celebrated and put into action! The Strategic ERG Leadership Summit sounds like it was an inspiring event. By valuing diverse individuals and their unique life experiences, we can cultivate a rich diversity of thought that leads to increased creativity and problem-solving capabilities, which are essential for innovation.
