Interviewer: "All the other candidates are wearing great coat-suits, why are you in shirt and pants?" I do not know what got it into my mind, but that day I thought that a plain shirt-pants-tie combination will keep me comfortable and also show simplicity. Neither was I prepared for this question. Since this was the start of the interview, I could not keep my interviewer waiting long for an answer. So I bluntly and honestly answered. Me: "Sir, I hoped that simplicity and comfort would be better in a technical interview. And fortunately I look unique as well😄." Interviewer: "Whatever your plan was, it worked well." Verdict: The interview went great and I got shortlisted to the next round. P.S. The image shows a paragraph from the book "Heard on the Street". #interviewexperience #stories #iitdelhi #interviewquestions

If you’re gearing up for a video interview, you’ll want to hear about these tricks we’ve seen which make a great impression: 👁️ Eye Contact Hack: Drag the video window just under your camera. It’s a game-changer for making that ‘looking you in the eyes’ effect. 🗒️ Cue Card Corner: Those little sticky notes? Perfect for jotting down must-mentions and sticking them around your screen. Your interviewer won’t know, but you’ll nail every point. 🖥️ Second Screen Strategy: Got a spare monitor? Extend your desktop and spread out your docs. It’ll feel like you’re in the command center, not a hot seat. 🌟 Glow-Up Tip: Open a blank doc for an instant face bright. It’s like having your own personal lighting crew. I’ve shared these tips with my team and seen the difference they make. Check out our full article for the nitty-gritty on each tip and walk into your next interview like you own the place! #InterviewLikeAPro #VideoInterviewSuccess #CareerHacks #JobSearchStrategy
