Let’s do something a little different this year for #EarthDay Regardless of where you’re at today or what you’re doing: go outside, take your shoes and socks off, and put your feet directly in the grass (if grass is not immediately available lie your whole body down on the ground). Stand there like that for at least a minute. Focus on the way the ground feels beneath your toes; that as you are standing there, the force you are exerting down into the earth is deeply connected to the force the earth provides. Maybe imagine roots growing from the pads of your feet deep into the soil, getting stronger and spreading wider as they support you. Take a moment to notice what you smell, what you feel, and what you see. Are there birds chirping? Does the ground feel dry? Can you see the grass between your toes? Take a deep breath. Grounded. All too often we become disconnected from our surroundings and environment, caught up in work, responsibilities, and society. Grounding is underrated. Be a rebel, get your feet dirty. Take a photo and peer pressure your friends and coworkers into doing the same (team building for the win!😆). Belated Cheers to Fluid Line's New Year! (Yes, you read that right!) Remember that epic New Year's lunch the higher-ups had? Turns out, someone (cough, Phill, cough) forgot to send over the photos in time, and we all know vacation photos are sacred! But fear not, fellow Fluid Liners! We're finally catching up on the festivities with a glimpse of the merriment. So, apparently it’s a thing now for eye-catching photos with random objects.📸📷 (At least that’s what Susan Lee says and I believe everything she posts. 😉) Call this at two-fer. 🤯 1️⃣ Random object number one is in my arms and it is an awesome pour-over carafe that keeps me happily caffeinated through multiple meetings. And, it means there’s always a cup available for someone else that wants or needs one. 2️⃣ Number two is a unique piece of art on the wall behind me. It is a commemorative piece of art filled with gratitude statements for first responders after a natural disaster. Coffee and gratitude say a lot about me. In fact, they say a lot about my business. I approach much of what I do from a place of gratitude. I approach all of life with a cup of coffee. Part of my core alignment seems to be around these two seemingly random objects.
