Meet Becca Fago, the Director of Animal Care and Life Support! Her mission in life aligns perfectly with that of the Science Center: to open every heart and mind to science. At the tender age of 4, Becca told her parents she wanted to be a fish doctor when she grew up. Growing up in Cape Cod opened her eyes to the majesty and beauty of the ocean, with its whales, seals, and Great White Sharks.   This fascination with marine life stayed with her, and after graduating college in 2005, she moved to the Caribbean to pursue a career in Marine Biology. Rebecca's journey included working at Coral World in the US Virgin Islands and Sea World in Orlando, eventually leading her to her dream job at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium in West Palm Beach.   During her fourteen-year tenure at the Science Center, Rebecca has had the opportunity to help design and fully stock a new Aquarium in 2012. Currently, she is excitedly involved in building another state-of-the-art Aquarium, which will be ten times the size of the current one. The ever-evolving nature of her work ensures that there is never a dull day.   When not working, Becca can be found scuba diving, boating, playing her guitar, singing and writing songs late into the night, playing with her furry friends, or snuggling her super cute mermaid child, Julia. Life is grand, and Becca believes there is still so much worth fighting for when it comes to the ocean. She encourages everyone to start with one thing they can do today to help ensure our big blue planet continues to inspire future generations. #CoxScienceCenter #OpenEveryMindtoScience
