Our team recently took an afternoon off for bonding at Topgolf where we swung our way to victories and even smashed a few Angry Birds along the way!
Being a fully remote company, we truly value every chance to connect in person, exchange stories, discuss recruitment strategies/challenges, and catch up on life.
After all, a team that plays together, wins together!

Recently we had the Total Rewards team together for our “onsite offsite” - we took time from the daily grind to meet, but had it on location in our Sleepy Hollow offices. This is us at our team building virtual golf night. I appreciate everyone’s willingness to get outside their comfort zone and try something new. In the discomfort of that, here’s what I learned:
1. This team can get comfortable being uncomfortable - important in golf and in life.
2. We can laugh through adversity - at ourselves and each other. So incredibly important.
3. What we lack in golf skills, we make up for in incredible team spirit and support for one another.
4. You guys are my “work why” - on the tough days, I remind myself how lucky I am to be a part of this team and it gets me through.
What did we do at our Team Offsite?
Here's a glimpse -
1. Networking: Our Sales, Training, and Support teams joined forces to strengthen our collaboration, because we hardly get a chance to meet during our travel.
2. Trying a new Team Activity: We dove into a unique activity blending sustainability and tech. Because after all, our internal team gets the first chance to experience our cutting edge programs.
3. Getting Active and Competitive: Sports aren't just for fun (though we had loads of that!). They reveal our true selves and foster camaraderie like nothing else can. And that's why we picked up Olympics challenge.
4. Reaffirming Our Core Values: Taking time to revisit and reaffirm them was a reminder of our unique identity. Because that's our differentiator.
Our offsite wasn't just about escaping the office—it was about strengthening bonds, fostering growth, and recharging our collective spirit. Here's to more adventures ahead! 🎉

Last week, the Enzo boys had a football evening in Shoreditch. It was a great opportunity for team building and connecting outside of work hours. Of course, there was still plenty of competitiveness!
We aim to hold team-building activities twice a quarter, including our new starter activity that we host every cohort’s first week. Team building outside of work is essential because it encourages stronger relationships, enhances trust, and improves collaboration by allowing employees to connect on a more personal level. We know recruitment isn’t an easy job, and we want our employees to enjoy coming to work and the people they work with! ✨
Any suggestions for more team building activities?

What are your favorite activities (icebreakers, trust building, bonding) you've planned and/or participated in at company/team offsites?
We are in the midst of planning our 2nd annual company offsite and want to plan activities to help the team get to know each other and promote team bonding & trust building as a whole group as well as in small groups. We would love some fun ideas!!

Building Bridges: The Success of H1's First Batch Team Building
The inaugural team building event for H1 Site marked a significant milestone, bringing together our management group and people managers for an engaging 2-day, 1-night experience. From the moment participants arrived, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and camaraderie. Each individual embraced the activities with enthusiasm, showcasing unwavering support for one another.
To ensure the event was meaningful, we tailored the activities to align with our Flex Ways of Working, emphasizing our four foundational pillars. Throughout the program, the themes of respect and valuing others, learning and adapting, and collaborating openly were at the forefront. These elements not only enriched the experience but also reinforced our commitment to a cohesive work environment.
As the event unfolded, it became clear that this was more than just a team-building exercise; it was a celebration of our shared values and aspirations. The bonds formed during this event were palpable, igniting a spirit of collaboration that we hope will extend beyond this gathering.
Looking ahead, we are eager to replicate this success and extend similar opportunities to all employees, fostering a culture of unity and shared purpose throughout our organization. Together, we are building a brighter future.
