Apparently a doctor when I was very young told my parents I’d never speak or become much of anything. I’m glad to have proven him wrong. I do have challenges with my self-esteem, but that stems from me being too hard on myself. The point is to never let others define you or your expectations of yourself. Always be you. I have decided to renounce my passion for legal tech. I am withdrawing from the legal world and going to become a monk and a recluse that lives off the grid, and in a remote town accessibly only on foot. Goodbye, the world of data and technology. What does it mean to be there for others? It means, depending on context, many things. It could mean checking in with someone who you know is struggling in some way or seems to be. It could mean being a listening ear for someone who needs someone to talk to or just to listen to them. It could mean going to someone's event they have spent a lot of time planning and putting together. It could mean attending someone's speech they have long worked on.
