🌱 From Idea to Traction: The Legal Data Journey 🚀 Our Legal Data journey began in October 2022 when a brilliant idea took root. Fast forward to today, and we've come a long way, bridging the gap between seed and pre-seed stages. Here's a snapshot of our incredible journey so far: 1️⃣ In just a few months, we assembled a dynamic team of over 20 professionals. 2️⃣ We transformed our idea into a functional prototype, which we proudly released to the public. 3️⃣ With dedication, we conducted over 50 case studies, fine-tuning our AI for lawyers. 4️⃣ We secured valuable credits from tech giants Amazon and Microsoft. 5️⃣ Legal matters? We've got them covered, achieving a perfect score of 100. 6️⃣ We laid the foundations and defined key processes and our startup DNA. 7️⃣ Our presence now spans all major social media platforms, and we've launched our Telegram channel tailored for law firms. All this incredible progress—without a single external investment 🌟 But here's the twist—we find ourselves in a unique position, somewhere between seed and pre-seed stages. 💡 Our challenge? To secure investments and demonstrate our sales potential. But it's a tricky balancing act. The Crafty Counsel Lean Community is for those working alone or in small teams in-house. In that role its easy to have your head down and miss out on the big developments, so our April call was about "Use cases for GenAI". Community member Emma Sharpe kindly shared her insight and experience of running big teams and small, using technology to boost efficiency where possible. Things our conversations highlighted included: ⭐ The fact the majority of participants had plans for use and had not yet stepped into action. ⭐ Some were doing what you'd expect - first drafts, research etc. - others had some interesting new uses and recommendations. ⭐ There's a tension between the desire to factor out human error and the need to have human experience in the mix to instill confidence. Thanks to Emma and to everyone who joined for this check-in on the next step in the story of digitally-enabled legal services. We shall be keeping an eye and, no doubt, returning to this subject.

We're all drowning in a sea of information these days 🌊 Here's how to stay afloat. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: Partially because it's easier to create content these days, so there's way more of it (cause.. well... AI 🤖). But mostly because the world is moving so fast 🌍💨 -so there's so much more to stay on top of. 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗻𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗲 🔊 My approach now is to treat LinkedIn as my source of infotainment. It's 𝗻𝗼𝘁 how I stay up to date on industry trends. So I don't feel guilty if I don't stay up to date on everything every day 😇. 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🎨 Instead: find the best 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 in your market and just read their newsletter. Ideally someone who doesn't curate more than once a week. Cause otherwise you're back to square one 🔄 𝗠𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 In my industry (Legal Tech), I think the best curated newsletter out there is Peter Duffy's Legal Tech Trends (see below for the latest one). He publishes every 2 or 3 weeks or so. After reading I always feel up to date. He was also kind enough to mention my new DraftPilot Community 'building in public' newsletter this week.
