You will give technical guidance from cradle to grave of agreed Backup solution. Guiding the technical team’s trough the different project phases of the lifecycle: Design; Infrastructure installation; Infrastructure configuration; Testing; Transition to Live; Migrations (old to new system); Operating model and sing off. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Obtain a solid understanding of the solution that is being proposed by our technology parties. Review existing design artefacts HLD and LLD and supporting design material. 2. Understand proposed end- to-end solution from a conceptual to a component level. • Identify possible gaps in the solution. • Work with #Bank’s Group Information Security during threat modelling and risk mitigation. 3. The main feature of this role is to give clear technical guidance to the technical teams (including vendors) though the life cycle stages of the project, as indicated in the above job description. 4. Maintain and update a RACI table of stakeholders for Backup Solution [Dell PPDM, Networker and Data Domains. • Maintain interfaces with BAU teams, Dell, Kyndryl and any other 3rd parties as required. • Set up continuous touch points with this group. 5. Create a working relationship with the BAU technical teams. Your role will be the link between these teams and the project. The BAU teams will sign off on the solution deployment and testing. • Understand the backup and VMware platforms as it is today e.g., capacity, current monitoring versus what is proposed, integration into other system such as Service Now, Cyber Ark etc. • What are the key processes and limitations that we need to consider e.g., Legacy concerns, regulation requirements etc. 6. Using the projects work breakdown structure (WBS) understand each delivery task from a technical viewpoint making sure; • All assigned tasks are complete on time (escalate as required). • Clear communication between our vendors on each input and task. Agree the output of this task and the journey to get there (critical path dependencies, timeline). • Using the vendor led workshops to obtaining the output for the WBS task and making sure that owners and due dates are identified. 7.
