Today marks my 7th work anniversary with Lowe's India 🥳❣ 🎊 It's been a long journey since I stepped into the Lowes 7 years ago, armed only with my goals and dreams! Over the years, I have not only discovered what I love to do, but also who I am in the process. I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the greatest minds in the industry as my mentors, leaders, and colleagues. On this day, I want to share my 7 valuable learnings that one should always keep in mind to grow professionally: 1. Grow with Others – Your job is not about competition, where you compete with your colleagues, one should learn and grow with them. 2. This month I am happy to celebrate my 5 year anniversary with Convergint and I wanted to share 5 things I've learned or experienced in my time here: 1. Initiative is easily one of the most important values we can have when looking to grow within a company. (Challenge yourself to find the answers before you rely on someone else to provide them for you.) 2. Work smart, not hard- be innovative. This month marks my 3 year anniversary at Microsoft. As someone who came from a nontraditional tech background. I’ve found that there are many transferrable characteristic traits from being a military veteran/professional athlete to tech sales. Here are some transferrable traits that prior military and athletes bring into tech sales: 🚀Service before self mindset meaning always looking to do what's in the best interest of the team/customer or the mission before self. 🚀Corporate agility and flexibility which means being able to be agile to the needs of the business. Embracing change and becoming agents of change. 🚀Unparralled amount of self-discipline meaning always doing what's right even when no one is around and always acting with integrity. 🚀Resiliency, Grit, Fortitude which is the ability to fail fast, get back up, and have a short memory about that failure, while understanding that every NO brings you closer to a YES. When you hire a military veteran or athlete in tech sales you are not taking a CHANCE. You are increasing your CHANCES of driving a culture of winning and collaboration.

Today is my 10th Anniversary of working at Amazon. When I left the Marine Corp I wasn't quite sure where the next opportunity would be. I was hoping that I would find a place that was inventive, had career growth potential, and valued the experience of veterans. Amazon has delivered on that and much more. Here are 10 lessons I've learned and will pass along. Here's to many more.... 1)     Obsess over the customer experience. 2)     Highly engaged teams mitigate a host of problems. If nothing else, they make work more enjoyable. 3)     Building trust requires extending trust – don’t be afraid to go first. 4)     Most decisions are two-way doors and easily reversible – don’t overthink these. 5)     Come up with the criteria of roles you will quickly accept. Socialize these with your manager and mentors. 6)     Business needs change quickly and the rate of change is increasing, make sure your decision-making processes are built for high velocity decision making; tenets are often useful. 7)     Good intentions don’t work – systems and mechanisms do. 8)     Get good at building effective teams quickly – business changes and personnel moves will require it for sustained success. 9)     To be right more often, be willing to listen and change your mind. 10)  Don’t fight gravity - Focus on what you can control, influence where you can influence, and let go of the things that are neither. 

Seeing a message from a Google employee celebrating his 3year anniversary resonated with me. Inspired by them, on the occasion of my one-year anniversary at Dan-D, I have 4 insights to share. Today's my one-year anniversary at Dan-D,To celebrate the moment,here are 4 valuable lessons I've learned: 1. Making continuous skill improvement a long-term goal for career development is essential. Only when your job skills continually increase you can have competitiveness in the workplace, leading those around you to take notice and regard you with admiration. 2. Conflict is a part of work, but it's not the end of the world. When things get heated, remember your goals and the company's goals. Talk to some of your close peers for advice so you can calibrate your emotional response. 3. You need to be both principled and flexible, maintaining your bottom line while being open to actively adjusting your ideas. Let your colleagues and bosses know that you are a principled person; only then can you earn recognition and respect from others. 4. You should dare to present your ideas to the management, whether it's about your job scope or benefits. However, remember that any request should be justified. Even if it doesn't succeed, let others know that your actions are based on rationale and common sense.

11 days left until summer. And finally, it's time to relax. But for me, June is not about relaxation. I received my offer from Zalando in June 2021. It seems like a month that's not great for hiring, but that's not true! I've received in past a several offers between June and August. Summer is perfect for hiring because fewer decision-makers are around, everyone is in a more positive mood, and offers still need to be closed. It's easier and faster to receive offers in the summer. Today marks my last day at Walgreens. The last few years have been the most important and impactful of my career. I have grown and learned so much.
