The military spends millions of dollars and years turning us into weapons of war—teaching us to switch into combat mode in an instant. But when it comes to turning that off? Relatively very little time, money, or thought is given to that transition. And that’s where many veterans run into trouble. We’re trained to be aggressive, to act decisively, and to face threats head-on. We are ready for war but struggle with peace! And once we leave the service, society expects us to shut that mindset off as if it’s as easy as flipping a switch. The reality is, without the proper support, it’s not. This gap often leads to trouble—personal, professional, or even legal—for those of us who struggle with the transition. We need to invest in helping veterans turn off the fight, just as much as we invest in training them to turn it on. The cost of ignoring this is too high. #Leadership #Veterans

Writing about the future of America and the world. My current project is coming up with a plan to move from a high rent district aka Franklin TN to what may be more reasonable community such as Lebanon TN.
TRUMPERS - Why would you conflate the term WAR with COMBAT, and let's add deployment and deployed for the Marine Public Relations dude. And when you say "saw combat," what does that mean? Dropping bombs or launching missiles from a ship at sea or clearing houses one at a time. What's the technical term? DOOR KICKERS... Trumpers and JD, if you keep splitting hairs, you will become as bald as.... READ MORE HERE 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 https://lnkd.in/eBnf2cPv ☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️
