Chelsea Football Club is delighted to unveil our new, enhanced maternity and paternity leave policies, designed to support our amazing employees and their growing families.
Recognising the importance of family and the critical role parental leave plays in achieving a healthy work-life balance, these updates reflect our dedication to being a family-friendly workplace and promoting gender equality and equity.
Following feedback from our teams across the club, we partnered with Working Families, the UK’s national charity for working parents and carers, to ensure our policies lead the way in parental leave support. Here’s what’s new:
Maternity Leave:
🗓️ From Day 1:
- 26 weeks at 100% pay
- 13 weeks at 50% pay
🗓️ After 1 year of service:
- 39 weeks at 100% pay
Paternity Leave:
-Up to 1 year of service: 2 weeks at 100% pay
-After 1 year of service: 4 weeks at 100% pay
These changes also apply to our Shared Parental Leave and Adoption Leave policies.
