Alaska Grant writing opportunity (in person):
A facilitated workshop on Grant Writing Basics is being presented by Grants Pro, and the Alaska Local Training & Assistance Program (LTAP) by AK DOT&PF. The workshop aims to inform individuals all over Alaska how to better maneuver in the Grant Writing world. We will introduce grant writing basics and share grant terminology.
Objectives/Topics:
Introduce basic grant writing technology to participants, enabling them to register on Grants.gov, set up a SAMs Account, and register for a Unique Entity Identification-UEI number. By taking these steps, participants will be ready to research and start a grant application on Grants.gov
Participants will be given a handout that follows the PowerPoint Presentation slides. The handout will contain valuable information about grants available in the State of Alaska and Nationally.
We will delve into the details of Federal & State DOT grants available throughout the year, who is eligible for funding, and what projects are eligible. The Alaska DOT Local Training & Assistance Program is committed to empowering Alaskan communities to be better prepared to write and receive grants. Education is power.
