#FoodSafety | The Bureau Veritas Certification Global team attended the Foundation FSSC Insights Event 2024 in Amsterdam on June 19-20, marking the 15th anniversary of this esteemed event. Since 2009, FSSC has built trust and delivered significant impact to the consumer goods industry as a non-profit, independent certification scheme owner of ISO-aligned management systems in food safety and social sustainability. This year's FSSC Insights Event focused on the theme "Inspiring Beyond Certification," exploring how the Foundation, in partnership with its stakeholders, can create an impact that extends beyond the certificate on the wall. In this endeavor, FSSC is dedicated to helping its certified organizations contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and create a better world. Yesterday marked a watershed moment for Food Traceability and FSMA 204. The Reagan Udall Foundation released its Top-line learnings (https://lnkd.in/gSGvgUri) from a series of conversations held over the summer regarding FSMA 204. A key recommendation was the need for a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). The foundation stated, "A well-organized PPP, which might include state regulators and public health agencies, could facilitate collaboration to support implementation, and could help build consistency on data structure, requirements, timing, and standards. In addition, a PPP could provide a platform to compare pilot learnings and to aggregate implementation challenges to share with FDA." In a timely response to this recommendation, the Partnership for Food Traceability (PFT) officially launched yesterday at www.pftraceability.org. The PFT embodies the Public-Private Partnership described in the Reagan Udall Foundation report. Over the next month, we're actively recruiting members for the PFT, with board elections slated for October. I invite you to visit the PFT website (https://lnkd.in/gVTynrH3) and learn about membership in this critically important non-profit organization. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions. Time is certainly of the essence as January 2026 is fast approaching, and we're excited to begin this collective Public-Private journey! Join us in shaping the future of food traceability. #FoodSafety #FSMA204 #FoodTraceability #PublicPrivatePartnership

Two essential workshops are coming up next week for any food and drink business, particularly if you’re in the early stages of development. Split over two webinars on 9 July, they cover food labelling and nutritional informational legislation and an introduction to HACCP. There’ll be exercises and time to ask questions to help you get the most out of it. If you have already booked onto these, please note that they have changed to webinars, rather than in-person. Please look at out for an email for full joining instructions. These are free for food and drink manufacturers in Nottinghamshire, Leicester City and Derbyshire. You can do one or both; full details are on our website under Accelerator Workshops, along with the full calendar of future workshops and webinars. These workshops and webinars are open to the eligible UKSPF areas of Nottinghamshire, Leicester City and Derbyshire. See the website for more details. The UK Government funds these events through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). #UKSPF #Manufacturing #Accelerator #EastMidlands #FoodManufacturing #DrinkManufacturing #FoodandDrinkForum

Supporting global industry specifiers and CBs in aligning with FSSC 24000 to meet social sustainability standards, ensuring certification for safe working conditions, ethical practices, and supply chain due diligence.
On World Food Day, I’m reminded of how important it is that we come together to ensure everyone has access to healthy, nutritious food. It’s heartbreaking that in 2024, over 800 million people still face hunger every day. As a woman, I think of mothers who struggle to feed their children, and the scale of female farmers who work tirelessly to provide for their communities despite enormous challenges. This year, let’s commit to supporting sustainable food systems, reducing waste, and standing up for those who go hungry. Together, we can move closer to achieving Zero Hunger and make sure everyone, no matter where they are, has the food they need to thrive. #WorldFoodDay #ZeroHunger #FoodForAll #FSSC22000 #FSSC24000

Quality item-level data about your product as a part of your product. Ask me about Digital IDs, Digital Product Passports, FSMA204 Traceability and EPCIS.
Read our ebook if you want to understand better how the FDA's #FSMA204 regulations will affect #food & #beverage traceability requirements. A more #granular level of traceability leads to an exponential growth of unique data points that must be collected, stored and organised across the entire value chain. If that is not challenging enough, understand that traceability reports must be generated and shared in under 24hours.
