This week, I joined David Wang, MD, Patrick Leonard and Taylor McPartland at Reuters Events Healthcare #TotalHealth24 to discuss both the promise of value-based care and the very real challenges in moving the health system to be more proactive and patient-centered. We talked about the role of data and technology, team-based care and shifting clinical culture. In the end, we all agreed: We're on the right trajectory. Getting there is no easy feat - but the work to advance value-based care is one of the best examples of for-profit companies, non-profit organizations and government working together to build a better system for patients.
