📅 Today will be the last hurrah for a legend. Or something like that. It is perhaps fitting that I spoke of the opportunities in embedded systems yesterday. 💬 Today, Jack Ganssle will give his final conference talk at the Embedded Online Conference. Jack is a legend. ➡ Without question one of the foremost authorities on embedded systems, he has written countless journal articles and a few books, along with a newsletter I admittedly never subscribed to but have read in its archived form many times. If you've worked in this field, you surely know his name. He has also given plenty of talks, and after seeing him give the keynote at ESC Boston years ago (oh how I miss those days!) and reading a good deal of his writing, I knew any conference session he does would be must-attend. ➡ At ESC Boston in 2018, I sat next to a college student at Jack's talk. Before it started, I told him he made a great decision to check this out because Jack is a legend. When it was over, his facial expression was basically, "You weren't kidding!" Jack had not disappointed. To give Jack the send-off he rightly deserves, the conference team is opening up his talk - at 12:30 pm Eastern - to anyone who wants to check it out, not just conference attendees like me.
