How A Culture Of Sharing And Giving Influences Your Company Success Sharing and giving changes a company culture. How is the culture influenced and what are the effects? 1. Enhanced Collaboration: Fostering a culture of sharing encourages teamwork and open communication, leading to improved collaboration among employees. This, in turn, boosts problem-solving and innovation. 2. Increased Employee Engagement: When employees feel valued and supported in a giving culture, they become more engaged, motivated, and committed to their work, resulting in higher productivity and job satisfaction. 3. Customer-Centric Approach: A focus on sharing and giving prioritizes meeting customer needs and creating value for them, resulting in strong, loyal customer relationships that contribute to long-term success. 4. Positive Reputation: Businesses engaged in philanthropic activities and community support often enjoy a positive reputation, which can attract socially-conscious customers, partners, and top talent. 5. It's been nearly four years since I've worked in an office, and yet the demand for creativity has only increased during that time. With the rise of hybrid, global teams like the ones I'm a part of, it's important to get creative about how we get creative. I'm grateful that ROI asked me to write (and illustrate!) this blog post that proposes a few possibilities.
In the final part of his 3-part series on #creativity, ROI Director Jeff Lewonczyk discusses ways to make workplace #brainstorming inspiring, inclusive, and impactful. Emotional Culture Casual Catch-Up What fun to catch up with REBECCA RYNEHART (EIA / ITCA) and Lauren Gibson this week and play with the ECD. I wanted to show how flexible a tool this card game is, so asked what they were currently focused on. We were all at a workshop where we'd be talking about what carers need in workplaces, which can be an emotional topic given we had all had caring responsibilities currently or in the past. So we focused on a simple check in – How Do I Want to Feel Today in this Workshop. And then I shared how we could use it for a retro as well. The #1 game for better workplace culture. In your workplace, The Emotional Culture Deck will help you drive bottom-up change about what really matters by stimulating face-to-face conversations about culture and leadership. 🚨 Popular opinion: If you want the best from someone, allow them to be comfortable in who they are! I’m hoping it’s safe to say that working culture has turned a massive corner in recent years and corporate conformity has been banished from the workplace. No more hysterics over ❌ The colour of their hair ❌ What people are wearing ❌ How many tattoos they might have on show Judging people’s capabilities based on their appearance has long gone. It almost feels like a statement that belongs to another world, another century, it’s that out of touch. Working environments are places where people feel comfortable and safe, where individual minds can thrive. And that’s when the magic starts to happen - new ideas, creative solutions and out-the-box thinking – all critical to business growth. When people can express themselves in a way that makes them feel comfortable, they’ll shine in so many other ways and the business will be the real winner. So, perhaps it’s time to throw out that out of date saying ‘never judge a book by its cover’ because it’s pretty much obsolete in today’s world of work. On second thoughts – perhaps we keep it as a reminder that we never want to go back there again!
