Beehiiv is doing to newsletters what Shopify did to commerce. 1. Growing market: 100xing the total market, long-tail, and competition 2. Force diversification: no one is “only DTC” and soon, no one is be “only newsletter” 3. Marketing plan: Shopify champions entrepreneurs. Beehiiv champions creators
Crucially — and I say this as someone who was a Substack partner then a beehiiv user nine months before joining the team — beehiiv product makes the complex nature of building a media business easier. So many of our customers who I meet every day have an audience but have never had to worry about building a business. We’re a part of that journey with them and it’s the best feeling in the world.
Love this analogy! I think you're spot on about Beehiiv disrupting the newsletter space like Shopify did for e-commerce. The idea that we'll see a 100x growth in the market, with more diversification and competition, is both exciting and intimidating at the same time. I'm curious to see how Beehiiv will continue to champion creators and make it easier for them to succeed. It's clear that you're committed to empowering this community, and I think that's a game-changer. One thing that resonates with me is your point about no one being 'only DTC' anymore. As the market evolves, we'll see more and more brands experimenting with different channels and strategies. Beehiiv seems poised to be at the forefront of this shift, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they have in store.
Beehiiv is definitely shaking things up in the newsletter space, much like how Shopify transformed e-commerce.
Beehiiv is not just democratising newsletters; it's empowering a new wave of creator-led economies.
Agreed and I also see how places like ConvertKit → Soon to be Kit and Patreon snagging Moment, are going to keep moving the landscape of creators and the creator economy. CC Level Up Creators 😉
As someone who is considering both beehiiv and Substack, what do you like better about beehiiv?
It’s a great product and brand. I’m a happy paying customer.
Market growth can significantly impact a business by increasing demand for products or services, leading to higher revenues and profits.Austin Rief
It's been truly fascinating to watch Tyler Denk 🐝 and team build in public. I can't help but cheer them on and tell everyone they should be using beehiiv for their newsletter or starting a newsletter if they don't have one. (I should probably get on that myself...)

3moBuilding on MailChimp 10-15 years ago just wasn’t fun. It was clunky. Building a newsletter to 10,000 subs on beehiiv is so much fun.
