The aim of the awards is to recognise exceptional Africans that have made an outstanding contribution towards the realisation of African self-determination, dignity and exceptionalism. Due to the nature of African problems, A.G.A recognise the impact of lack of problem solving skills, tedious processes and costly methods of commerce and social resourcing and mobilisation. Exceptional skills are needed to emancipate Africa and her people fully. In order to qualify for an A.G.A, a nominee has to meet certain criteria, specifically relating to one or more of problem solving, global competitiveness, self-love and patriotism. Performance needs to be determined as being indubitably extra-ordinary to warrant genius status. Winners receive an award. https://lnkd.in/dZQXPmRp

Move from your Comfort Zone to the Growth Zone. Embrace being intentional and let your courage speak louder. Fun fact: Until last year, I didn't know how to speak English, or at least, I thought I didn't. Overcoming my fear and shame, I joined the Maputo Toastmasters Club. Preparation made all the difference. Now, I confidently communicate in public. Representing mentees at the When Females Lead program, I seized the opportunity to speak. Boldness and courage led the way. Being intentional is key – what we think we can't do is often what we should do. Growth thrives in discomfort. I am proud of my progress and the bold steps taken. Embrace discomfort, for that is where true growth lies. #GrowthMindset #Courage #IntentionalLiving

Toastmaster Triumphs: From Shy to Shine! 🌟🎤 In the grand finale of the Toastmasters International contest season, the Division U contest, I'm thrilled to share that I clinched the 3rd position in the Humorous Speech contest. This achievement caps off a remarkable three-month journey, where I not only secured a spot in the top 3 across all the three levels of contest but also brought home not just participation certificates but gleaming plaques. What added an extra layer of magic to yesterday was the presence of a client who entrusted me with her millions in helping her acquire several investment properties in the city of Abuja. Her support during my speech, and the joy that lit up her face when I secured 3rd place, felt akin to a proud mother's elation. Here's the fascinating twist: In just three months, I've collected three beautiful plaques through the art of public speaking. A true mystery, considering the person I used to be before stepping into the world of Toastmasters – a shy individual reluctant to utter a word in public. Now, facing fears, speaking to large crowds, and embracing the nerves, I'm reminded that Rome wasn't built in a day, and the journey of improvement is perpetual. In closing, let me affirm: As long as I'm breathing, healthy, and strong, my commitment to Toastmasters International remains unwavering until my time in this world is over. The journey continues, and my excitement knows no bounds! #Toastmasters #PublicSpeaking #LeadershipDevelopment

The Australian Honours and Awards system celebrates individuals who make outstanding contributions locally, nationally and internationally. There is a lot of diversity within the recognition, but all Order of Australia recipients have one thing in common – someone nominated them for recognition. No one, no matter who they are or what they have done, can be recognised unless they are nominated. So, who can nominate, and who can be nominated? Anyone in the community can nominate someone for recognition. But, the people you nominate: - Must be alive at the time of their nomination - Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident - Have had no previous recognition by the Order in the last five years If you know someone who has gone above and beyond, start the process by filling out the nomination form. You can find it here: https://bit.ly/3W3BJwF Read more about previous recipients and their recognition at this link: https://bit.ly/3W32H7N Council for the Order of Australia #OrderofAustralia #AboveandBeyond #AustralianHonoursandAwards #Inspiring

Australians from all over the country, with different backgrounds and contributions to their community, are recognised in the Order of Australia. And with that in mind, it’s likely there is someone in your life who deserves it, too. Recognition doesn’t happen unless someone takes the time to nominate. The process is simple and help is available. Head to the Australian Honours and Awards section of the Governor-General’s website at this link, https://bit.ly/3W3BJwF, with information including; 1. The nominees name and contact details; 2. Your name and contact details; 3. A description around why they deserve recognition; and 4. At least two referees; And nominate a deserving person you know. Your nomination is the beginning of the process. After it is submitted, an independent case officer in the Australian Honours and Awards Secretariat begins researching the nominee, before they are presented to the Council of the Order of Australia. It won’t be judged on the quality of writing, and you don’t need to know everything about the person you are nominating. It is good to include as much information as possible, even if it’s in dot point form. You can find suggested information to include and other helpful tips here: https://bit.ly/3wElHz4 To learn more about past recipients, their profiles are available to read here: https://bit.ly/3W32H7N Change someone’s life by nominating them today.
