£1.3m for the handwritten drafts of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ seems fair, no? This iconic song by Queen is regarded as one of the greatest songs ever written, and whenever it starts playing, it is virtually impossible not to sing along. Nearly 50 years after its initial release* it is still lauded for its intricate and multifaceted arrangement, which includes insane vocals, 7-part harmonies, piano interludes, and a wide range of instruments. *For interest’s sake, if this had been a South African creation, it would bring the copyright in the recording eerily close to being considered a public domain work, although you would still need to get permission to use the underlying composition. It's been featured in numerous films, TV shows, and commercials and is one of the few songs that retains popularity across multiple generations. Price is what you pay for something; value is what it’s worth. Personally, I could use £1.3m in a few better ways, but who am I to judge? :) #Law #Legalese #Music #Entertainment #Creativity

This book documented the crossover international reggae hit singles from 1964 and Calyso/Soca from 1955 it includes Harry Belafonte, Bob Marley, Sean Paul, SHAGGY and their list of reggae, dancehall, lovers rock, ska hits and more. For those of you who say/think you're being humanitarian and peace activists - THIS is what you're supporting. This is only one of hundreds of similar stories for over 1000 people who were executed, 240+ who were taken hostage to be r@ped, mvrd3d, t0rtur3d - some still. Hostage taking is a war crime and a crime against humanity. So is s3xu@l violence, so is targeting and k!ll!ng civilians. And this is g3n0c!dal intent. Defending yourself is NOT. Yes, every lost life is a tragedy - even a combatant - but intent is what separates a crime from causing a death accidentally. H@m-a$$ uses THEIR OWN PEOPLE as shields. For them, it's a strategy to get good pre$$ - so keep those likes and posts and money coming, which makes you complicit. War is terrible - don't start one, and don't be surprised when the attacked defends themselves and goes after the perpetrators and leaders. This is NOT about land, it's NOT "freedom from oppression" - they don't want a 2 state solution (they've had one since 2005 and look what they've done with that) - they just want ALL of Israel, and they want ALL Jews wiped off the planet (BTW, that's g3n0c!d3). If you know me, you know I'm a die-hard Swiftie, for many reasons beyond her songwriting and musical talent. This article is an interesting read, and a commentary on the "instant gratification" world we live in. Think about that term for a second... Who wants gratification to instantaneous? Whenever a singer leaves a band, it's a huge shock to the existing lineup. The sound is bound to change and fans are bound to have strong reactions. It's very difficult to convince everybody to get on board with a new vocalist.
