In my new position as Lab Informatics Practice Lead at Sagax Team, I have been thinking a lot about what it means to create and grow a practice. Here is what I believe. 👀 Common vision o What distinguishes disconnected employees versus a unified team is the shared belief in the value of what we are aiming for. The first step is to present the vision and inspiration, and ask your new team members to take the leap. 👋 Relationship Building o In my career and my life, relationships are the most important thing to me. It’s important to prioritize relationships within a team to strengthen it. We need to be able to trust and rely on each other, and show up for each other day to day. Be kind, positive, communicative, and reliable. 🤝 Collaboration o Put the plan into motion. As a collaborative team, we can achieve so much more than we can on our own. We all have valuable skills, talents, and experience. The beauty of the team-based approach is found when you open up your ears to what your team members have to contribute, and you let them shine. Remember – team leads are still team members. Lead by example and commit to collaboration. I’m looking forward to working and growing with you all, Sagax #lims team!
