Today, I am honored to be celebrating my 16-Year Work Anniversary with my company! That is a lifetime to some. It feels amazing. The people who I have met, and the things that I have learned on this journey have shaped my life in so many ways. Here are some of the lessons that I have learned over the years... * Work/life balance is crucial. It is important not to lose sight of what you are working for. Take the vacation.  Go to the little-league game. Live a good life.  It is short and you only get ONE. So, work to live, not the other way around.   * Be kind and respectful and greet everyone. Every person in every position. * Give your respect freely but give your trust wisely.  Guard your heart and your personal life. Be discreet. Know the difference between being friends and being friendly. Check your emotions.  Don’t react quickly. Observe silently. Avoid office politics and gossip. * Show up. Be consistent and take action. * Be sincere, intentional and authentic. This goes for both your business and your personal life. * Don’t be afraid to ask people to share their wisdom and experience with you. Share your knowledge with others. * Know the difference between healthy competition and unhealthy “comparisonitis”. * Use the right tools, organize everything, and keep good notes. * Clear is Kind. Keep your communications clear, concise and easy to understand. * Confidence in your abilities and knowing your value is important to your success. Believe in yourself and in your work.  

What a wild ride so far. I just celebrated my 9 year anniversary here commonsku. I think work anniversary's are funny. Thank yous and praise for staying somewhere. Likely because we are in a job market where people pop from one company to another, climbing the company directories by changing location. But not me, I've always been here. The question I get asked by far the most when I interview people for my department is "why". Again, to me this is funny. I work in a place that allows me to be my sarcastic, honest and sometimes stubborn self. A place that supports me professionally and personally. Where I am trusted in my decisions, opinions and thoughts. I am allowed to make mistakes, celebrate wins and (what I tell everyone in interviews) I don't need to pretend to be someone else between 9 and 5. Maybe I get asked because it is rare to find a place that does this. But that's the reason I should be saying thank you. This isn't meant to be a sappy post or telling you all how awesome my job, my coworkers, my bosses and my customers all are. I don't write my thoughts out often, but I feel like this is owed. A thank you from me to all of those people I just mentioned for allowing me to be here for 9 years, allowing me to be successful, trusting in me and making my work something I legitimately love to do. 9 years is just the start of my journey here. And I'm pumped to see what I can do in the next 9.

On October 18th I celebrated 2 year work anniversary. I planned to write something inspiring about my accomplishments of my last two years but I want to focus on the last 2 weeks: - controlling emotions: me joining a zoom meeting, pausing for a siren and being able to switch back to business; - managing two teams: one at work and one at home, consisting of a 5-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy. - remaining focused and on track: me conducting a presentation while my little one cheerfully turned his mealtime into a colorful spectacle to capture my attention. - training a lot on taking the right priorities: whether it is cooking a meal/taking a shower/cleaning apartment during my lunch break; - staying professional: refraining from tuning into media, news, or social networks during work hours to shield myself from any updates about additional kidnapped or killed civilians, some of whom may be familiar faces. I love my job and value the opportunities it brings. And I am grateful I a have a different reality I can switch into where the war is not happening. I want to show how incredibly strong we are because what I described above is happening to almost each family in Israel today. Nothing will break us. I stand with Israel.

Happy 6-month work anniversary to me! 🎉 Can't believe how quickly time flies when you're learning and growing! Here are some updates on my journey: 1. Exciting news! I was honored with a 2023 Performance Recognition Award for my hard work and dedication. 2. I've been honing my PowerPivot and data skills in Excel, and it's been an enlightening journey. 3. I've been immersed in our ERP system and have made significant strides in becoming proficient in it. 4. Creating meaningful relationships has been a highlight for me. Building strong connections with colleagues and partners has been incredibly rewarding. 5. Gaining insight into the operational workings of a larger company, especially in a new industry, has been invaluable. It's given me a clearer perspective on how to drive positive change. Here's to more challenges, more growth, and more achievements in the next six months and beyond! 🚀

So true. Staying in your position is a value if it comes with self-development and adding value to the organization. Having personal and organizational targets are always helpful.

3 years in a -work anniversary has never felt so good! Happy third work anniversary to me! A work anniversary has never meant that much to me. But 3 years since founding House of Kitch, doing what I believe in and making it work, feels very special. Thanks to all of you who have believed in me, trusted me, shared with me, and been part of making it real Parexel PAREXEL International (India) Private Ltd It's hard to believe that 3 years have gone by already! Three beautiful and fulfilling years during which I have expanded my horizons both professionally and personally. Three years of gratitude for being part of this amazing company! Top 3 learnings: 1. You are the author of your own destiny:- I have been stretched more than ever before, and the uncertainty and ambiguity can be a major challenge. I have found that structuring my business around my purpose and staying true to that helps me get through the ambiguity. Some days it feels like this, but knowing why I am doing what I am doing is my compass, and it helps to bring others with me. 2.Doing what you believe in is exhilarating and exhausting at the same time:- They say that doing what you believe in doesn’t feel like work – and it doesn’t. But it can be really intense as everything matters so much more. The work that we do takes me on such intense journeys, and the connections are really strong. There is something about purpose that transcends effort. The challenge is there is no clocking on and clocking off, it’s a constant journey. The important thing is having people that I value on the journey with me. 3.Healthy body + healthy mind = healthy ideas:- You have to keep balance, mentally and physically – for me these two things are intertwined. When you are working continuously , it can be really hard to feel ok about breaking away from your desk to get some exercise or go outside for a walk. If you want to set your mind free, you really have to set yourself free first. Creativity comes from many different places – you usually have to leave your desk to find it. And then there are the times when you just need to switch off, and that takes its own discipline – one that I am still working on. Greatful! Dr. Shivani Bhola
