This Monday June 10 marked an important milestone as I celebrated my 10-year work anniversary at Altair! Reflecting on the past decade, I am filled with gratitude for the many opportunities I've had to contribute to the success of both our customers and Altair. What keeps me here for so long? The amazing company culture! Happy 6 months at DELL to me 🎉 ! As I celebrate my six-month milestone at Dell, I find myself reflecting not only on professional accomplishments but also on the profound personal growth I've experienced. In the fast-paced environment of Dell, every challenge has been an opportunity for self-discovery and development. I've embraced these moments as chances to stretch beyond my comfort zone, to push the boundaries of what I believed possible, and to emerge stronger and more resilient. One of the most rewarding aspects of this journey has been the cultivation of my interpersonal skills. I've learned the power of effective communication, both in articulating ideas and actively listening to others. Through collaboration and teamwork, I've discovered the beauty of diverse perspectives and the richness that comes from collective creativity. Moreover, I've found immense value in nurturing my ability to adapt and innovate. Whether faced with unexpected hurdles or exciting new projects, I've embraced each opportunity to think outside the box, to approach problems with creativity and curiosity, and to continually refine my problem-solving toolkit. But perhaps the most transformative aspect of my journey has been the realization that personal growth extends far beyond the confines of the workplace. Yesterday marked my last day at Dell Technologies, a journey that lasted almost two years. I'm filled with a mix of emotions – gratitude, nostalgia, and a tinge of sadness. These past two years have been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and camaraderie, and I'm leaving with a heart full of cherished memories. One of the key takeaways from my time at Dell is the "importance of building a brand in meetings".  I had two weekly meetings that I considered significant. I used to contribute only when my name was called out, but now I realize I should have been more proactive. This feedback was an eye-opener for me. Meetings are not just about being present, they are about making your presence felt. They are platforms where you can showcase your knowledge, your ideas, and your ability to contribute to the team’s goals. So, don’t just attend meetings, participate in them. Make sure your voice is heard, your ideas are shared, and your brand is built. A huge shout-out to my colleagues turned besties - Lakshmi S and Raksha Mallya, for always lending your ears when I needed to vent. To my OS PJM team - vijay Kumar TS and Sri Monika, thank you for helping me understand the process and tools better. To Tilak Sidduram and Priyanka Bajpai, my OS leads, thank you for your timely feedback and guidance. To my incredible manager BARUN CHAUDHARY, who gave me a chance to grow in this role. Lots of people reached out last week after LinkedIn announced that I was celebrating 8 years at IBM. I appreciate all of you! The truth is that LinkedIn is only counting my time back after a few years working (and learning) at a startup. I've actually worked at IBM for (whispers) more than 27 years. I won't be announcing work anniversaries again until I hit another round number because that's a ridiculous number of years. Something important I've been thinking about lately is how much MY way of working trickles down to my team -- and how that culture spreads to teams that work WITH my team. I'm big on humans, and on gratitude, and on leaning across to see if you can help someone else (at IBM, we call that last one "partnering to get it done"). On my team, we believe that collaboration works best when we trust that the other person is coming to the table with positive intent, and we know that treating everyone like part of the team makes, well, everyone part of the team. Here's hoping the coming year (whether it's your first, your eighth, or your twenty-eighth) brings you more humanity, more gratitude, and more positive teaming. Cheers!

🎉 Exciting News to Share! 🎉 After a challenging 8-month journey of perseverance and resilience, I am thrilled to announce my upcoming adventure: I will be joining Splunk as a Business Intelligence Engineer Intern for Summer '24! Being an international student, getting a job in the US was extremely difficult as I have navigated through: 430 applications 200 rejections 220 pending/ghosted 10 interviews 9 interview rejections And finally, 1 offer that made all the difference. This journey taught me the power of resilience, the importance of dreams, and the value of unwavering support from my circle of family and friends. A special shoutout to Pooja Bremner, Dylan Bremner, Chinmay Gunishastri, Tanya Prasad, Siddhant Mene, and Adithi Mishra for being my rock during these times. My gratitude extends to my current mentors, Mike Kyle, and UT Dallas - University Career Center whose guidance and insights are invaluable. I also owe a debt of gratitude to my first professional home, Rockmetric, for laying the foundational stones of my career. Thanking all the companies that opened their doors to me during the interview process, including Teradata, Health Care Service Corporation, and MyFitnessPal among others, for the learning opportunities they presented. A huge thank you to my future mentors/managers at Splunk, Pooja Shah, Sandeep Gupta, and Chau Tang, as well as Natasha Dones for her assistance in making the onboarding process as smooth as possible. I am eager to learn from each of you and contribute to our shared goals. Most importantly, I want to take a moment to thank Raul Dhruva (Myself). For believing in me, for the nights of stress and worry, and for pushing through the toughest times with a belief that was stronger than fear.
