BC First Nations Forestry Council Perspective with Lennard Joe "I am witnessing a change in how we approach the issues. In the past, we worked in our silos; First Nations met with the Province, and industry met separately with the Province and First Nations. It has only been recently that we are all meeting together in one big room. At these meetings, we are continuously working on developing our relationships and trust as we work to find solutions for some very serious issues. 🌲 ASI was commissioned by the Forest Stewardship Council to investigate stakeholder concerns regarding the encroachment of industrial forestry into #Sweden's old-growth forests, with high conservation values. The study covers affected regions, including FSC-certified forests and areas supplying FSC-controlled wood.
